Coles Creek Day Use Campground is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is a great place to spend the day. It is located on the eastern shore of Carlyle Lake which is a great lake for fishing and sailing. Fish species include white bass, bluegill, crappie, channel catfish, largemouth bass, freshwater drum, carp, flathead catfish, and walleye. There is a playground for children as well as an amphitheater on site. There is 2 group picnic shelters which can be reserved. They can accommodate up to 75 guests each and cost $30 per day.
