This ride makes a loop around the Fermilab, a well-known laboratory site located west of Chicago. The trip utilizes roads and sections of the Illinois Prairie Path to complete the loop. The ride is mostly flat and has just a few sections on busier roads making it a nice option for beginner bikers. There are lots of side roads and trails within the Fermilab complex that can also be added to increase the mileage and explore more of the area.
