This section of the Fox River start starts south of the dam in South Elgin at Seba Park and travels past multiple parks, residential developments, and forest preserves to the take-out in St. Charles. The elevation drop is very minimal along this section and the river is wide making the waters slow and clear for paddlers of all skill levels. The river along this route is also used by motorboats so watch out for other boat traffic while on the water. The take-out for this run is just before a dam that needs to be avoided so be sure to get off the river in time.
