This forest preserve offers lots of opportunity for outdoor recreation including hiking trails that pass through open grasslands, lush wetlands, and dense woodlands along the shores of Fox River. The diverse vegetation of the area provides visitors with lots of opportunity for birdwatching and wildlife viewing. The area also offers picnic areas, camping, fishing, a boat launch, and lots of open area for exploration.
