Located just under four miles from the town of Gillespie in Macoupin County, this scenic lake is a popular spot for fishing and also offers some nice paddling. The lake offers a boat ramp for accessing the lake but there are not lots of amenities located right on the lake. The tree-lined shores are great for providing scenery and viewing wildlife. There are also some long side channels and coves along the lake that can provide additional solitude and protection on the the lake.
