This trail is one of many included in the Madison County Transit trail system that bikers can utilize to explore the scenic and peaceful city and surrounding area of Edwardsville. The Goshen Trail travels through areas of quiet farmlands as well as peaceful suburban areas. The trail travels over two bridges and through 10 tunnels along its route. The trail connects to multiple other sections of bike trail that are part of the MCT trail system that explore the Madison County region. The trail surface is all asphalt and mostly flat making it a good option for riders of all skill levels.
