Offering over 6 miles of multi-use trail, the Grant Woods Forest Preserve is a natural and scenic area that offers visitors a remote setting of open grasslands, lush wetlands, and dense woodlands. The trails consist of mostly crushed gravel surface with some short sections of boardwalk and wood chip trail. The trail passes through lots of wetlands and near multiple small lakes providing plenty of opportunity for birdwatching and wildlife viewing.
