Starting just west of Hwy 78, this section of the canal travels west along the Hennepin Canal through rural and wooded terrain to the take-out at lock 25. The Hennepin Canal is a straight waterway with very minimal current and lots of access areas making it a great option for paddlers of all skill levels. The canal is a popular spot for paddling, fishing, wildlife viewing, and hiking and biking along the Hennepin Canal trail system that follows the route of the canal.
