This trail is located in the Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie and is a dirt trail that can be utilized by bicycles to explore the vast and scenic prairie terrain. The area is known for its remote location and abundant wildlife viewing and birdwatching opportunities. This trail can be done as an out-and-back trip or abone-way trip by shuttling vehicles between the Iron Bridge Trailhead, Explosives Road Trailhead, or River Road Trailhead. The trail is very flat and is a good option for bikers of all skill levels. There are some connecting trails along the route but many are not open to bicycles so this trail is the best bet for bikers who want to ride the area.
