Visitors to Heron Creek Forest Preserve will enjoy hiking and biking through a natural area of protected wetlands near Salem Lake that provide lots of solitude and opportunity for birdwatching. The crushed gravel trails within the preserve are multi-use with interpretive signs along the way. The preserve also offers picnic areas and restrooms.
