This lake is owned and operated by the city of Highland and offers nice waters for paddling along its tree-lined shores that are home to abundant waterfowl and other wildlife. The lake does require a permit from the city for launching which can be obtained through the city hall or police station for a fee. The lake offers good fishing, a park with picnic areas, hiking trails, and a boat launching site.
