Located just minutes from a busy urban area, this scenic lake offers lots of natural scenery and abundant opportunity for viewing wildlife while paddling on its waters. The water is quite shallow in much of the lake and there are side coves and located along the lake that provide calm waters for exploration. The lake is part of a state park that offers lots of amenities that include multiple boat launches, fishing piers, picnic areas, hiking trails, and campgrounds. Motor boats are allowed but there are speed restrictions on horsepower.
