This tree-lined bike trail is a paved route that takes bikers from the city of Chatham north to the state capital city of Springfield. The trail connects to the Wabash Trail wish continues to the west for another few miles. The trail follows an old electric rail line that is very linear and mostly flat with the exception of one hill making it a good choice for beginners looking for a ride with just a little challenge. The trails provides diverse scenery as it travels through both rural and suburban areas.
