Located less than 10 miles from downtown Chicago, just west of Lake Michigan, Jackson Park provides visitors with a beautiful serene setting within a busy urban area. The trail leads hikers onto a wooded island that is home to a Japanese Garden with a waterfall and bridge that crosses over a lily pad pond. The area is also known for great birdwatching.
