This forest preserve offers hiking trails that lead through ponderosa pine forests and open prairie restoration areas full of abundant wildlife. The natural area is fairly undeveloped and remote but does offer picnic areas and restrooms. The unpaved trail is for pedestrian use only and does not allow bikes or other mechanized vehicles. There are other connecting trails within the preserve that can be used to add mileage or make a shorter loop trip.
