Located in southwestern Illinois, this large reservoir provides abundant recreational opportunity including kayaking along its many miles of shoreline. The lake has many narrow channels and side coves that can provide solitude and protection while paddling on the large lake. There are multiple boat launches and a marina on the lake making it easily accessible. The lake is also popular for fishing and motorboating with no horsepower restrictions so pay close attention to others on the lake. Kinkaid Lake also offers picnic areas and campgrounds.
