This trail leads hikers along rocky ravines and through dense forests and prairie restoration areas along the banks of the Kishwaukee River. Hiking the trail provides some good overlook points to the river below and lots of opportunity for viewing wildlife. The area is still fairly undeveloped and remote providing lots of solitude and peace. The preserve does offer parking, restrooms, and a few picnic areas.
