Located along the Des Plaines River Greenway, this short loop trail circles around Lake Carina, a small lake that provides excellent birdwatching, boating, and fishing opportunity. The trail is mowed grass and is open to hikers and cross-country skiers. There are connecting trails from the Lake Carina area to the Des Plaines River Trail providing hikers with the option of adding mileage to their trip. There is a parking area, restrooms, and picnic sites available at the lake.
