Located within the Loud Thunder Forest Preserve, Lake George offers a quiet and peaceful setting for paddling. The lake is surrounded by woodland terrain that provides lots of solitude and opportunity for viewing wildlife. The lake restricts gas-powered boats and is only open for non-motorized boats and electric trolling motors. The lake and surrounding preserve area offers fishing, picnicing, concessions with boat rentals, and hiking trails.
