Located in the McDonald Woods Forest Preserve, this loop hike utilizes multiple trails to complete a peaceful and scenic trip through lush woodland and wetland vegetation including multiple small lakes. The trail surfaces are multi-use and vary along the way to include crushed gravel, mowed grass, boardwalk, and woodchip. The area is a great spot for birdwatching and wildlife viewing. There are restrooms and picnic areas available within the preserve.
