This short section of the Middle Fork of the South Vermilion River starts just south of Potomac and runs for only 4 miles to the access point at Kinney's Ford. The run is short and can be done as a short part-day trip or as an addition to the run down to Kickapoo State Park. The access is on private land so ask property owner for permission before setting out. The trip is a little steeper gradient along a narrow, winding river providing paddlers with a fast steady flow through open rural lands and wooded terrain.
