Nippersink Creek, the largest tributary of the Fox River, is an excellent stream for nice scenery and wildlife viewing. The calm waters of the stream and the surrounding wetland vegetation is home to diverse wildlife and plantlife making the stream an excellent choice for paddlers of all skill levels. The canoe trail provides multiple designated put-in and take-out sites making the river easily accessible for visitors. This section starts from the Keystone Road Landing and ends at the Pioneer Road Landing. Paddling the river during low water or high flow is not recommended so check the current water conditions before setting out. There may also be occasional obstructions and debris so always be cautious and pay close attention to the river. Floating the river requires a water usage stamp which can be obtained for a small fee from multiple permit vendors so be sure to obtain one before launching.
