Located just west of Lake Michigan, this trail follows the North Shore Channel for many miles providing riders with nice views of the canal and lots of open green space in the middle of a busy suburban area. The trail also connects to the Green Bay Trail and is in very close proximity to the North Branch Trail providing riders with numerous riding options. The trail is mostly asphalt and concrete with a few short sections of dirt. There are some nice parks and resting spots along the way as well as access points to the canal for boating. The ride is mostly level with just small ups and downs along the way.
