This loop route takes riders past multiple parks and forest preserves, the historic Fort Sheridan, Lake Forest University, and lots of scenic areas along Lake Michigan. The elevation for this ride varies from flat at the beginning with a few rolling hills during the last half but definitely nothing too strenuous. Much of the route is along less-crowded roads and trail systems with minimal traffic but St. Mary's Road is busier and requires a little more caution.
