The Pecatonica River Water Trail provides paddlers with multiple paddling trips along the remote and peaceful flatwater river that runs through northern Illinois. This section of the Pecatonica River starts in Winslow and flows through open rural farmlands and sections of wooded terrain on its way to a take-out on Cedarville Road. There is an alternate access point in McConnell providing paddlers with an alternate take-out spot for a shorter trip or a nice resting spot. The river is very slow with easy access and few obstructions making it a great choice for paddlers of all skill levels. The river also continues on for many more miles with multiple access points.
