This section of the Pecatonica River Water Trail, like most of the Pecatonica River, runs through open, peaceful rural lands that provide paddlers with some great solitude and relaxing water for paddling in northern Illinois. This section leaves from the McNeil's Landing and travels almost 8 miles to the take-out at the Wes Block trailhead which provides access to the river and the Jane Adams Trail. The Pecatonica River has a very minimal elevation change, is wide and easy to follow, and has excellent access sites making it a great choice for paddlers of all levels.
