This section of the Pecatonica River Water Trail starts from the Ridott Fishing Park access and travels downstream for 7 miles to a take-out at North Farewell Bridge. The take-out and put-in spots are not developed ramps but they are public and easily accessible. The scenery along this section is the same as the scenery along most of the Pecatonica River, which includes lots of wooded shoreline through remote and peaceful rural farmlands and open green spaces. The river has very mild flow and few obstructions making it a nice trip for beginner paddlers.
