This urban ride travels through the oldest town in all of Illinois providing an excellent tour of the cities architecture and history including multiple sculptures that can be seen along the way. The trip goes through residential areas, a university campus, downtown Peoria, and along the shores of Peoria Lake. The trip is mostly flat with the exception of a climb up and over a 100-foot bluff. Most of the ride follows calm residential streets and a bike path but there are a few short sections on busier streets that require just a bit more caution. The ride is not too long and offers a lot of good stopping and resting spots along the way making it an ideal choice for bikers of all skill levels.
