This forest preserving containing acres of wetlands and dense woodlands provides an interpretive self-guided trail and additional trails for hiking and biking. The trail leads past multiple small ponds and over wetland areas where birds and other wildlife can be spotted as well as lots of native plants. The preserve offers parking and picnic areas as well as a dog walking park located in the northern end of the preserve that requires a permit.
