This large forest preserve located in Lake County offers rolling hills and open vistas of beautiful scenery excellent for birdwatching and enjoying nature. The western trail serves as an alternative access to the main trail into the preserve located on the east side. This section of trail can be used for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing. It leads to Timber Lake but does not connect to the trails on the other side of the lake.
