Located in southeastern Illinois, this preserved lake offers heavily-wooded shoreline full of diverse wildlife and plantlife and calm, peaceful waters for paddling. The lake does not allow gas motors and is mostly used for fishing and non-motorized boating. The lake is part of a state park that offers fishing, hiking trails, camping, lodging, and picnicing.
