This small lake located just 40 miles from Chicago provides a fun and scenic place to paddle in a busy suburban area. The lake is mostly surrounded by residential communities but still provides a nice atmosphere of nature and solitude. There is a channel on the northwest side of the lake that is more calm and secluded than the rest of the lake making it an ideal spot for paddling. The lake does allow motorboats so watch out for others and stay close to shore as much as possible.
