Starting from Brookfield Woods, this route follows sections of the Salt Creek Trail and quiet rural roads through multiple forest preserves and historic neighborhoods that make for a scenic and peaceful ride. There are a few sections of the route that utilize busy roads so be very cautious and watch out for cars. The terrain is mostly flat with just a few sections of small rolling hills making it a good option for cyclists of all skill levels.
