Skokie Lagoons is a nature preserve in a busy urban area that provides excellent opportunity for outdoor recreation and paddling in an outdoor setting. The lagoons consist of multiple lagoons and ponds that are interconnected and provide multiple miles for paddling. The area also provides wildlife viewing opportunity, miles of hiking trails, and picnic facilities. There may be a few easy portages required as you make your way through the shallow lagoons.
