Located in the Van Patten Woods Forest Preserve, this small lake offers excellent recreational opportunity including non-motorized boating and fishing. The lake is surrounded by woodlands and open prairie habitats near the Des Plaines River corridor that is home to abundant wildlife. The area is especially good for birdwatching. The lake offers a boat launch, fishing piers, and lots of hiking and biking trails nearby including the Des Plaines River Trail.
