This scenic lake located in a forest preserve is very peaceful and offers great opportunity for wildlife viewing and birdwatching. The boat restricts gasr-powered boats and is popular for canoeing and fishing. The forest preserve offers rentals of canoes and rowboats. There is no swimming in the lake but there are multiple picnic tables spread around the lake that make a nice place to stop and enjoy the scenery.
