This southern segment of the Thorn Creek Trail system makes a loop around Sauk Trail Lake and the surrounding woodland terrain that is home to abundant wildlife. The area is a great place to visit and enjoy nature within a busy suburban area. The trail is paved and is used primarily for biking and hiking. There are multiple access points and parking areas for the trail.
