Located in a forest preserve full of diverse terrain and abundant wildlife, Whalon Lake offers an excellent spot for paddling in a peaceful setting. The lake does not require a permit and offers launches for canoes, kayaks, and small fishing boats. The lake is also a popular spot for fishing, hiking, and picnicing.
