This route starts in the scenic and charming town of Woodstock and then explores the surrounding rural farmland areas and rolling hills of McHenry County. The route follows mostly rural roads with light traffic making for a peaceful and relaxing ride. While there are a few rolling hills along the way, especially towards the end, there are no steep climbs or descents to worry about. Stopping at Glacial Park Picnic Area at the 12-mile mark is nice side trip and also be sure to check out the town square of Woodstock as it was the filming location for much of the movie Groundhogs Day.
