Blackwell Horsecamp is a popular camping area for equestrians and, regular campers. It also serves as a trailhead for the Charles C. Deam Wilderness Trail system. Guests have access to vault toilets, hitching posts, a picnic shelter, and a loading area. There is no drinking water available so campers should prepare accordingly and bring their own. Horseback riders are required to have a permit for riding the trails which can be obtained at the US Forest Service office.
