On the way out from Ogle Lake, you will see some of the untouched forestry of the park. It is beautiful and hard to hike. There is a vertical climb of about 180 feet by the lake. The path takes you to an area with towering Beech trees. Through the hike, you are likely to see wild turkeys roaming around and wood peckers above you. As early as March, you may hear lots of loud frogs. Interesting fact, in the winter, when the leaves are gone, you have a better view of the ridges. Park entrance fee required.
