Near the dam, you will find other activities and camping. When the water is high, depending on rainfall and the season, it might flood the woodlands nearby. There is a no-wake–no-wash idle zone, it provides a break for the paddlers. The lake is surrounded by hardwood forest. During fall, the colors are beautiful. Fees are required for entrance of the park and boat launching.
