This part of the Knobstone Trail starts with a hike uphill and levels out onto a flat area where you can camp. You will see large trees, wild flowers and ferns along the way. Be prepared to cross several steep ridges. You will also pass a few wildlife ponds and have different spots for scenic views. No drinking water or restrooms available at either trailhead. What you carry in, has to be carried out. No fees.
