The park has a lot of history and archeology. You can visit and learn more about it in the Taylor Center of Natural History. The trails are easy and flat. Besides all the history there are four ecosystems: woods, prairie, wetlands and riparian. This is the longest of the trails, perfect for trail running. Every September for three weeks the public is invited to help with the archeological excavation screenings. No fees.
