A stop you will want to make is at the Pioneer Village. Although the trail doesn’t go through the village anymore, it is well worth the visit. No pets allowed in the village. In the cave, you can observe the blind cavefish, which is pinkish-white with no eyes, having adapted to the darkness. There is also the blind cave crayfish, assorted spiders and lets not forget the bats. Park entry fee is higher priced for out of state vehicles.
