Tippecanoe is the deepest natural lake in Indiana. On the southeast end of Tippecanoe, a channel connects it to James Lake. On the South end of James Lake, there are wetlands that can be explored; you need a permit to do so. Powerboats and jet skis are a constant on both lakes from late morning to dark during the summer months. Canoes and kayaks will find the best time to go is early morning on weekdays.
