Overnight stay is available at the campground. During the winter months, only the boat ramp and trails are open. To mountain bike one must purchase a permit. For the most part this is an easy hike, with very little variation on the climb. Be aware you may be exposed to ticks in parts of this trail. There will be several crossings of seasonal creeks. Hikers have the right of way over mountain bikers. Drinking water and restrooms are available at the campsite. There is an entry fee to get into the park.
