At the beginning of this stretch of the Boone River, you will go over a drop that is over a two-foot ledge with surfable waves. To avoid the drop take the wave train on the right. You will also experience a bit of a riffle and go through mounds of sand. There is a beautiful wooded bluff well over a hundred feet high. The take out is before the Tunnel Mill Bridge, it is gravel and on the left side.
