The surface of the trail is crushed limestone and paved roads. You will be riding in between the two towns of Derby and Chariton. You will enjoy views of the Shelton Marsh for about a mile as you ride through the trees until it meets the Chariton River. Watch out for holes and bumps along the trail and be ready to cross several bridges on this path. No water or facilities available.
