Yellow River State Forest has some of Iowa’s best trails for hiking, horse riding, and cross-country skiing during the winter. The Creekside and Frontier Campgrounds offer equestrian sites for tent or trailer camping. No hookups or water are provided but campers have access to vault toilets and hitching rails.
